“We had a brilliant stay at Coastguard Cottage. Despite some challenging weather (we visited during Storm Eunice), we enjoyed exploring the local area, including the Eden project, Gorran Haven, and Portscatho. When the weather cleared, we even managed a dip from the little bay at Portmellon!
The cottage is extremely comfortable and well-equipped and we loved the cosy wood burner, big sofas, and sea views. The kitchen and dining area were perfect for two families, and as well as eating out at some fab spots, it was a real pleasure to stay in and cook too!
Thanks Mark for a great few days.”

“What a great location. A steep walk finds you into the middle of the village in 5 minutes. The views out of the windows breathtaking. The property is really well equipped with all you need to cook stuff. Great fridge and freezer.
Really Fantastic.

“Great location with amazing views to wake up to across the harbour and sea.
House provided more than enough space and comfort for our x2 families (4 adults, 4 kids) and dog visit. All useful essentials to hand in the kitchen.
Straight forward communication from the host – which made life easy.
Be prepared to walk to the harbour village as it’s on a steep hill!
Would certainly visit again if in the area.”

“We had a lovely week in Coastguard Cottage and even saw a pod of dolphins from the lounge window seat. It is a great location – quiet and away from the summer traffic in town but an easy walk down into Mevagissey, something we often enjoyed in the evening. The cliff playground area, just a few minutes above the cottage was great for an early morning dog walk, sunrise views and playground fun for the younger ones. Polstreath Beach was walking distance too and many of our favourite beaches were an easy drive away; Porthpean, Porthluney, Polkerris, Pridmouth and Gorran Haven.
The cottage itself was clean, comfortable and very well equipped with room for us all (adults, children and dog) to relax. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again!”

“Superb house, great location as long as you don’t mind a steep hilly walk back up. 3 generations of our family plus dogs had a super week despite the not so good weather.”

“Really amazing stay at the Coastguard’s Cottage in Mevagissey. The house was really clean and well provided for. Short but steep walk to and from the harbour but good aerobic exercise! Helps to walk off the pasties and fish and chips. Great coastal walks.

“Fantastic location and very well equipped cottage. Recommended.”

“It is a fantastic cottage with everything you might need inside. We would definitely recommend it to others. The views are absolutely spectacular especially at sunset and sunrise. It was so easy to go to town and not need to use the car, your parking area was essential.
The fish and chips by the harbour were fantastic. We loved all the little shops in the village. As the weather was so good we managed to get a few walks in along the coast path to Pentewan, Vault Beach, Heligan and out to Pentewan along the woodland path. On the less good weather days we did Truro and Charlestown and visited friends at St Day.
All in all, a really great holiday.”

“Wonderful holiday in a lovely place. We were very lucky with the weather.
The cottage is spacious and has been renovated with taste. We loved the large kitchen and dining area. Also the open plan of downstairs. Upstairs the bedrooms are attractive and spacious. The whole house was spotlessly clean. The views from the cottage are fantastic. We liked the welcome tray. Thank you ! We very much appreciated finding the basic necessities such as toilet paper, cling film, aluminium paper, cleaning products, salt, pepper etc
The cottage totally came up to our expectations.”

“We enjoyed a fantastic holiday in Mevagissey staying at Coastguards View.
The property boasts a fabulous location overlooking the harbour with great views and is located just a short walk from everything you need. The property has been really thoughtfully designed with a superb open plan downstairs with beautiful exposed beams and brand new kitchen and flooring … plenty of room to easily accommodate two families holidaying together. Upstairs the bedrooms are comfortable and spacious and again plenty of room for everyone. Outside there is a lovely quaint courtyard area, a large sloped lawn with sea views together with generous parking made a perfectly pleasant holiday.
Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be returning! “

“What a great find! Fantastic views across Mevagissey and out to sea, well equipped with everything we could possibly need, tastefully furnished and only a very short walk to the best coffee, pastries and fish and chips ever! The teenagers were particularly grateful for the comfy sofa and digital TV!!
15 minute walk to the most perfect swimming beach and a short drive to Eden Project and lots of other beautiful beaches. Managed to walk along the coastal path every morning before breakfast – so much to see!
Mark has thought of everything and we’ll definitely try to return soon.”

“Coastguard cottage is a great place to stay. We stayed for a week with our children and parents in law. The cottage has recently been renovated and is decorated beautifully. It was spotless when we arrived, and when I say spotless, it really was! I don’t think I’ve ever seen cleanliness to such standard before.
The cottage is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. It’s location is fantastic. It is easy to get to without having to navigate the one way traffic system in Mevagissey.
The quay is literally five minutes walk away, more like 10 minutes coming back as it has steep roads to climb but the views are worth a quick stop.
There are great views of the sea and harbour from the bedrooms and dolphins can easily be spotted. There are many lovely restaurants at a stone throw, a good selection of independent shops and easy crabbing and fishing for children and adults alike.
We would be very happy to come back in the future and stay in Coastguard Cottage.”

“The house was lovely. It’s in a great position, with gorgeous, romantic views to the sea. There’s plenty of space and everything worked well.
We had plenty of walks on the nearby coastal path and visited a few beaches, which were more or less empty because they were slightly off the beaten track. Overall, a wonderful trip, which could have been improved only by the absence of Covid! Thanks for a great holiday.”
